15th oCUBE (Un)Conference May 21-24, 2024 (Online May 23) 

This year's oCUBE UnConference will be in a blended format, with ~2.5 days dedicated to in-person activities and 1 day of hybrid format (simultaneous in-person and online). The in-person events will take place from the evening of Tue, May 21, to noon Fri, May 24. The online/hybrid day will be Thu, May 23, 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM ET.

Regardless of how you're attending, we're looking forward to seeing everyone at the UnConference!

HOW DO I REGISTER?

There is no registration cost to attending the UnConference online or in-person. 
  • However, you must register by end of day May 13,  regardless of whether you are attending online or in-person. 
      • If you are attending in-person you must contact Shamrock to book your lodging.
      • In-person costs for lodging and food are detailed below. 

WHEN IS THE UNCONFERENCE?

May 21–24, 2024 

  • Tues. May 21 (7:30pm–onwards): bonus pitches and meet and greet
  • Wed. May 22 (full day): in-person UnConference sessions and activities
  • Thurs. May 23 (9:30am–4pm ET): hybrid/online (Un)Conference sessions in the morning and afternoon,  including the State of the oCUBE (oCUBE General Assembly meeting) and Fix my Sh!t sessions 
  • Fri. May 24 (9:30am–12pm): in-person (Un)Conference sessions and activities (morning only)
A more detailed program will be available after Pitching and Votination (early May).

WHERE IS THE UNCONFERENCE?

Online or in-person at Shamrock Lodge, Muskoka 

  • Online spaces are unlimited

IN-PERSON ACCOMMODATION AND LODGING INFORMATION

I WANT TO COME IN-PERSON - WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?

Beautiful and accommodating Shamrock Lodge in Port Carling, ON has been hosting our May UnConferences since  2013 and they were with us in spirit in 2020 and 2021. 

  1. Fill in the oCUBE Registration form and select in-person
  2. You will receive confirmation if you get a spot or are on the waiting list. If you get a spot, CALL Shamrock within 72h to secure your spot, and book your lodging of choice at 1-833-765-3177—let them know you're with oCUBE! There is a $200 deposit.
  3. Let Shamrock know of any food allergies, dietary requirements, or special accommodations that you require.

There are 3 options for your stay: 

  • Single occupancy (lodging and food): ~$332.75/night + HST +15% service charge - includes food!
  • Double occupancy (lodging and food): ~$272.25/night + HST +15% service charge - includes food!
  • And there's one more option! Shamrock provides one multi-person cabin (the "Treehouse") free-of-charge*. The only fee for this option is to cover meals (*92.00$/day  + HST +15% service charge). Individuals who go with this option, like all attendees, have access to all the resort facilities. Note that this multi-person cabin (1 king bed in the loft; 1 bedroom with queen bed; 1 bedroom with 2 single beds; one bathroom) does not afford enough privacy for complete separation of genders.
