This workshop is about Universal Design for Learning (UDL) in the online environment. UDL is a framework for course design and implementation that recognizes, appeals to, and is accessible to a diversity of learners. In the workshop we'll review the principles of UDL, consider challenges that students might encounter in online courses, and then get into breakout groups to discuss how to implement UDL for assessment, course materials, and engagement. Facilitated by Tanya Noel, Tamara Kelly, and Jennifer Peter. Click below for a summary of our discussions and the slides from the workshop. |
