    The Department of Science at the University of Alberta’s Augustana Campus invites applications for a term instructor position in Biology. This position involves responsibility for teaching a combined lecture and lab section in the 2022 Winter term.

    The course is listed as AUBIO 394 Comparative Invertebrate Zoology, and serves as an investigation of functional anatomy and life cycles of the major invertebrate taxa. The instructor will have access to specimens in the Dept. of Science collection. This course is an optional course in the Integrated Biology major with a maximum enrollment of 16 students.

    For the 2022 Winter semester, the combined lecture and lab will take place on Wednesdays from 8:30 am - 11:30 am and will cover an 11-week term (January 26th to April 14th, 2022). A final examination will be conducted during the final examination period (April 21-27, 2022)

The successful candidate will be expected to hold a minimum of a Master’s degree in Biology or a related field, and will preferably have recent experience in university teaching at the undergraduate level.

    This position is in accordance with the Academic Teaching Staff (ATS) Agreement of the University of Alberta. It has an appointment from January 1 to April 30, 2022, and is subject to budgetary approval. Salary is commensurate with experience in accordance with the ATS Agreement which also stipulates benefits.
